TYPES OF TECHNOLOGY
Technology is any type of tool that helps you complete a task more efficiently and effectively. For the purpose of this class, we use 5 primary types of technology; some you may consider traditional, some you might not.
TEXTBOOKS
MATH NOTEBOOKS

Students are not assigned textbooks to take home

Textbooks will be used mostly for practice because I believe true math understanding comes from experience

Notebooks are required everyday

Notebooks serve as the organization system for our class

Students should take the notebook to high school as a reference
TABLETS

Tablets will be used typically once per week

Tablets are great for simulation and remediation

Students will need headphones to use tablets
INTERNET

Internet will be used regularly as a resource for projects and review

Students will also take tests on the Internet occasionally
MOBILE DEVICES

Students will use mobile devices in class regularly

Sometimes devices are used as calculators
-
Mobile devices are only to be use at the direction of the teacher
