MAKE-UP WORK POLICY
IN-CLASS WORK
-
Students who are absent (excused or unexcused) have 3 school days upon their return to school to make-up any missed work for full credit
-
If a student with an unexcused absence does not make up work within the 3 school days, it will no longer be accepted for credit
-
A student with an excused absence will have an additional 2 days to make up work for half credit
-
If the work is not received within 5 days, it will no longer be accepted for credit
-
-
For special situations or circumstances, parents may contact me to discuss arrangements
HOMEWORK
FOLLOW-UP FRIDAY ACTIVITIES
-
Students who are absent (excused or unexcused) Follow-Up Fridays have 5 school days upon their return to school to make-up modules
-
Because of the online nature of these assignments, students may complete the work at home and just let me know when they finish
-
I understand, however, that some students do not have Internet access at home. For special situations or circumstances, parents may contact me to discuss arrangements
IN-CLASS PROJECTS
TESTS & QUIZZES
Projects are a significant portion of the student's grade because it is how they show their understanding of the material as it is applied to a real-world setting. Most projects are done in class, so if students miss class on a project day, they are missing a great deal.

If the work is not received within 5 days, it will be for half credit until it is 10 days late, at which point it will no longer be accepted for credit
-
Sometimes these projects require the use of technology

This policy is non-negotiable
