Deadline for 4th Quarter's Homework: Friday, May 15th!
**Note: links to homework will be made active on the day it is assigned
My philosophy on homework is that it is a tool for students to practice old math skills. Thus, I only give homework once per week and each sheet will include a mix of review problems. Below are policies I have for homework in this class.
-
Homework is graded out of 100 points and is weighed 10% of the student's grade
-
Homework is assigned on the first day of the week and is due on the last day of the week
-
Students must show all work to receive credit; it is recommended that work is shown on a separate sheet of paper and attached to the homework sheet
-
Students may turn in homework at any time of the week to be checked for accuracy
-
If a student misplaces their homework, they may print off an extra copy from the links given here
-
Students needing help with homework are invited to come to weekly tutoring sessions on Tuesdays and Wednesdays until 4pm. See the syllabus here for more information!
-
If a student is absent, s/he may turn in homework on the day they return to school without penalty
-
Example: If a student is absent on Friday, the last day to turn in homework for full credit is the following Monday
-
-
If a student turns in homework late the following grade penalty will be assessed to the assignment:
-
1 week late = 10% deduction
-
2 weeks late = 20% deduction
-
3 weeks late = 30% deduction
-
4 weeks late = 40% deduction
-
5 or more weeks late = 50% deduction (half-credit)
-
-
Homework may only be turned in late for the 9-weeks it is given
-
Example: Students cannot turn in Week 9's homework in the second quarter
-
-
Missing homework will be recorded as a '0' in the gradebook until it is turned in
