ACADEMIC SCALE

PARTICIPATION GRADES

WEIGHTED ACTIVITIES

This class uses the grading scale:

 

100 - 90: A

 

89 - 80: B

 

79 - 70: C

 

69 - 60: D

 

59 or below: F

Students will receive a weekly participation grade out of 25 points. The participation grade will hold students accountable for the behaviors of our PRIDE scale.

 

Students will earn one point each day for each of the following behaviors:

 

Professionalism

 

Responsibility

 

Integrity

 

Dedication

 

Effort

Each activity in class is assigned a weight at which it will affect the student's grade. 

 

The purpose of weighing grades in this class is to reward students for portions of class that are more intense. What this means, however, is that students are held accountable for preparing for all parts of class. 

 

Tests: weighed 40% of final grade

 

Participation: weighed 20% of final grade

 

Projects: weighed 15% of final grade

 

Quizzes: weighed 15% of final grade

 

Homework: weighed 10% of final grade
